At Bulbarrow Timber, logs are an integral part of our business. We sell only quality, seasoned hardwood logs, usually consisting of a mix of ash and beech with some oak mixed in when available.
When it comes to a load of logs….it’s not as simple as it seems! Hardwood, softwood, big truck, small trailer…the dilemma goes on! You will find that no two suppliers measure their loads in the same way. Therefore loads and prices will vary somewhat dramatically as to who you buy them from. Our emphasis has always been on quality and value for money.
Measuring System
We use a measuring system which ensures loads are as even as possible. Loads are measured by cutting the logs into wooden crates, which are designed to hold approximately two cubic metres. You can have a full or a half load, a quarter load, or just a bagful! You can have them delivered, or you can save money and collect them from the yard. We can also offer our customers different lengths of logs, as small as 8 inches and up to 24 inches for larger grates.
